See how Trinity’s journey from dance to rowing led her to become HOW’s first Ambassador, inspiring others to chase new opportunities on the water!

For ten years, Trinity’s life was all about dance. From the sharp rhythm of tap to the graceful lines of ballet, she moved through the world with precision and artistry. Her dedication took her to competition stages, where she won medals and stood proudly

en pointe, both literally and figuratively, at the top of her craft. But by the time she reached her senior year of high school, she was ready for something new.

That’s when she found rowing.

Transitioning from the dance studio to the water wasn’t easy but Trinity quickly found a familiar rhythm in the boat. The discipline, body awareness, and musicality she developed through dance gave her an unexpected advantage. However, adapting to the sport was only part of the challenge. Being a Black athlete in a predominantly white space came with its own set of obstacles.

Rather than letting that deter her, Trinity learned how to stand her ground. The sport tested her physically, but even more so, it strengthened her mentally. Long hours on the water built both endurance and confidence. Moments of doubt turned into lessons in perseverance. She didn’t just learn to row; she learned how to thrive in an environment where she wasn’t always expected to succeed.

By the end of her senior year Trinity had done more than adjust to the sport, she had made her presence known. In a defining moment, she capped off her high school career with a silver medal in the girls’ novice single at the City Championships Regatta, proving her place in the sport.

Now, as a Division 1 rower in college, Trinity continues to carve her own path. The challenges haven’t disappeared. Rowing at a predominantly white program still presents hurdles but she’s embracing them head-on. She’s not just making space for herself in the sport; she’s helping redefine who belongs in it.

That’s what makes Trinity the perfect first HOW Ambassador. She represents what it means to step outside your comfort zone, push past barriers, and create opportunities, not just for herself, but for the young girls watching her. Whether she’s pulling hard on the oar, studying for exams, or modeling in NYC, she is proof that success isn’t about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking it.
