Hope On Water Founder and CEO Myrna Gotrell has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who, a national honor recognizing individuals for their achievements and impact within their fields. Individuals profiled in Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes are chosen based on current reference value, taking into account position, accomplishments, visibility, and prominence.

On Saturday, February 28, Hope On Water and Hackensack Crew hosted the first-ever Comet Crush Erg Classic at Hackensack High School's East Wing Gym. Over 100 athletes, came out from 9 different rowing clubs across New York and New Jersey for a day of racing that brought together middle school, high school, collegiate, masters, and adaptive rowers, all on the ergs.

This past weekend, Hope On Water made its way to Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta, the largest three day regatta in the world and one of the most iconic events in rowing. Myrna and Keira Gotrell competed together in the Directors' Challenge Parent/Child Doubles, racing the historic Charles River course as mother and daughter.

On September 27, Hope On Water gathered at the Bergen County Rowing Center in Overpeck Park to dedicate our newest rowing shell, a gift made possible through our partnership with the A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund and Hudson. The boat was christened the Myrna & Keira Gotrell, named for the mother daughter duo behind HOW's founding and its ongoing work expanding access to rowing in Hackensack and beyond.

JLO, a rising senior and standout HOW Athlete, spent a transformative week at Arshay Cooper's Sculling Camp in Craftsbury, Vermont. From racing nerves to winning the “Head of the Hosmer,” he found confidence, connection, and a deepened love for the sport. This camp became more than training—it became a turning point.
